Anyone have any idea what this is?

I've googled it and found it's a Hex Crimp tool for CATV/MATV/STV cables but I'm none the wiser

Ripley Company, Cromwell, CT 06416
Cablematic CR596QL
Hex size .360 and .324 inches

Hi computer cables, both Rj11 and RJ45 use a totally different crimp tool. The one above is to put crimp plugs onto the end of satellite or cable tv antenna leads like the ones on the back of a Sky box.

Here's a pic of a RG6 crimp

It may do BNCs as well, as they're similar sized cables and usually crimped to a hexagon.

My BNC crimp cost me around £80 about 20 years ago (RS, I think), so I doubt that one's cheap, although the price is usually in inverse proportion to the popularity.

Quit right - tools made in tiny quantities may or may not be well made, but they WILL be expensive
