Hi Guys,

I built my own dust extractor with a 62mm hose from the cyclone to use on extraction. The problem is that there is no standardised tool outlet size, so I am unable to extract dust from some of my tools. Are there any flexible adapters out there that can be used for a variety of tool outlets ?

I have just made the outlets on several tools bigger. If at all possible i use small pieces of 62 mm tube and glue / cement them into the tool.
If thats not practical, use another size that fits most.

A universal steering rack gaiter on the end of your vac hose will enable it to connect to most hand held power tools regardless of the size or shape of the outlet.

THAT's a good idea. Thanks.

Otherwise, it's fiddling about with tape and/or Jubilee clips, or making your own on the scroll saw/similar tool. I use off cuts of thick (22mm up) birch ply.
