I acquired a set of bisley steel drawers but wanted to protect my tools from rattling around and dulling edges.
Her majesty was at tesco this morning and got me a cheapo foam mat for camping.
Cost all of a pound. Just the job, but need two more as I have 15 drawers to line.

Hmm, difficult one this. What about some old newspapers or something like that?
Or replace them with wooden drawers?

Have a look on Rutlands site for peel foam seems a good product.

Either you have been on the falling down juice or need some new glasses

I have some good drawers but needed to line them.
Found a cheap solution
Telling folks about it I case they have similar issue

What about the underlay stuff they use under laminate flooring, not very strong perhaps but cheap enough to replace when damaged. You might even get offcuts by the square yard for free. A tougher solution might be the foam matting that people put on the floor when doing exercises.

Thanks lurker
I'll have a look in Tesco on Monday, I have a metal tool cabinet for spanners sockets etc which gets a bit rattley when I move it about

If you want that perfect fit for each tool and the ultimate in poshness why not:
Make a frame and lid (with a couple of 20mm holes in it) from scrap to the same inner dimensions as the metal drawer
Arrange your tools inside how you want them
Lay over some nice soft cloth in a form fitting way
Spray in expanding foam so that it almost fills the drawer
screw down the lid and leave for 24hrs
Take off the mould and slide into the original drawer
All done and very classy

:)
