Peter I liked the table with I assume 5 drawers (in ash?), I would liked to see a side view of that one if photographs are allowed?

Spent a great afternoon at the show introducing my UK based 9 month students to each other, they were all very impressed with the quality and variety of work on show, sets the bar high and gives them and I something to aim for next year :D

Sorry Devonwoody only press photos allowed, I was able to take some photos a couple of years ago but today was catching up with students and makers.

Did you see the Spitfire table http://www.huwedwardsjones-bespoke.com/spitfire-table I hear a rumour that an offer of over £100,000 was made for it :!:

Also some very nice work from http://www.williamself.co.uk/#!home/mainPage who I met at the UKWS sharpening event a couple of months ago.

The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers Design Prize was given to http://www.suzannehodgson.co.uk/203134112 the table was made with scorched Oak which had fantastic texture and clean finish.
Worth a trip if you get a chance even a tea and cake room now, but alas I did not have time to enjoy it.

Cheers Peter

Oh no.
I forgot all about it this year.

I have been for the last 3 years. It is always inspiring and educational in equal measure.

It is that mix between inspiration and inadequacy I like the inspiration but every now and again something makes you feel like putting all the workshop on eBay and doing something else. It would be good if the Spitfire table sells for well over £100 k as it should be celebrated. We need craftsmanship to be appreciated on so many levels

The River Console Table takes my breath away, if Nakashima were still alive I wonder if his work would have evolved in this direction?
