One of my pet newts, I call him Tiny because he is minute (my newt)

I found one in my garden a few weeks ago when clearing up from winter. The first time I had ever seen one. The colour of its spots was stunning. Put him back behind a rock behind the shed

Bbe careful about picking one up? Earthworms, with permeable skin similar to Tiny's can actually be 'burnt' by our skin acids. Use gloves.

We cleaned the pond out this year and had about 20.

Bloke walks into a pub with his huge water lizard pet.
He puts it on the bar and orders a pint for himself and a 1/2 for Tiny.
They downs the beer and orders another for him and Tiny.
After a few beers the landlord asked the bloke why he called such a big water lizard Tiny
The bloke answered "Because he's my newt"
