We'll I got my Record BS350S bandsaw today. Blimey it's heavy. Had to get it out of my car by myself ! Picture it, pulled it part way out on to a trestle then put a second trestle under it to lift it off the car then pulled the car forward clear of it. Next remove one trestle and drop one end on to a sack barrel move it round to the back of the house through the utility room into the garage. Made the base up, then wait for my neighbour come home to lift it on to the stand.
Throw away the horrible blade that come with it (my grandson could have cut the timber better with a handsaw) put in a blade from TuffSaw.
Up shot, what a lovely saw. Can't wait for tomorrow to give it a good go.
So as the subject title says time to get Steve Maskery's DVD out again.

Early night for you then. Axminster Axcalibur blades are excellent too. It really is worth investing the time to set the saw up correctly, I have found that the quieter it runs the truer it cuts, any whines or other strange sounds means the blade is not running true.
sweet dreams.
