Hi all
I have spent an age designing the ultimate shed (5x6), and have worked out the cost of the studwork and T&G cladding alone will be £832. How on earth do the guys on Ebay sell the equivalent for £350, is there a place called 'planet timber' where you can fly off too for inexpensive wood?
They are using T&G or shiplap as well, not featherboard.. :?
Any thoughts on where to buy from..
Cheers

You've struck a fundamental truth.normal people want sheds and the market will only stand cheap prices. Therefore margins are tight. If your buying the wood as a one off from a timber yard you'll pay top whack (same price as buying a single stick)

Hi
Yes, you have to buy in huge loads to get it cheapest. I have found Edecks the most competitive, which is where I have got my price from. Like you say to build them at the price they do the Ebay guys can only go cheap and cheerful.
Well I could always just buy my own forest.
Cheers for the response..
