The other day I was gifted these Tilley Parts.
All in need of TLC, well the new mantle did not,
That is now safe, flat in my Tilley Lamp spares box.
Given a good clean, not all of the staining came out. I could remove it with wire wool, but the glass, being older. Is soft and the wire wool will mark the glass.
The lid seal was removed, cleaned and rubber glue used to re fit it.
They are drying out on top of my pizza oven.
I even cleaned the pre heater. Be careful, the older ones were asbestos. This one was not.
This is an original Tilley Fuel funnel. As you can see it is a bit rusty.
It is in the Citric acid, it is.
The small dents were removed. The one on the spout is an original one. A good way to identify a True Tilly funnel.
The brass filter was re soldered back into place.
