That's really nice and solid looking, just what is needed. In a previous life I was a seaman who did a lot of fancy ropework as a hobby. Can I suggest that you have a word with the 'customer' and check what he intends to do. That way you can adjust your design to suit. Usually the ropework would be on the end where the tiller is handled most to give a good grip and would be better parallel. If he's just doing turks heads on it it wouldn't be so crucial. Just a thought.

Very disappointing.... I read Tiller photos , tally ho !! and thought what on earth have the Tiller Girls to do with woodturning :lol:
