Excellent! Just as Hunted is drawing to a close, too.
It's not often I miss my TV, but even I admit it's not the same watching on an android phone. Actually it's not so much the phone itself (I can get it close enough to my face to be able to see it!) it's the bandwidth that's the problem.

Is this in English or subtitled?

Mick

.... not the horrible american remake

That was awful...saw a tiny amount...one BBC series sold to America has had a total revamp done for the second series...packing things in so fast and furious as the average attention span of an American is...what was I saying?

Watched both episodes. Very good. Surprisingly, my wife suggested viewing - very unusual as she normally hates subtitles. I would have avoided as I'd only ever previously seen bits of the American version (unimpressed) - unaware that the original Danish series was available. Now I need to track down the first two series.

Not as good as The Bridge but kept me watching and looking forward to next week's episodes.

I didn't mean the Killing ....it was some other drama series...probably Downton!

Do try and get the first series of the Killing, Mike. IMO The Killing (series 1) was much much better than The Bridge.

I didn't know you were also a Hunted aficionado, Steve! It is very watchable although I find the dialogue banal and makes me think it was aimed at the US market. Sentences almost comic-book in their construction....simple sentences...two or three words at most ...usually monosyllabic! The plot does go all over the place as well...too many characters or referenced names that pop up in one episode but then disappear for several more until they pop up again and you're left struggling to pull the threads together. Well, at least, I am! I reckon that the head honcho of Byzantium is going to save her as he's terminally ill and has nothing to lose.

I tried, I really did!

On my own this w/e so able to do some tool maintenance in the warm. I decided to fix my handheld electric planer while I was watching The Killing. Big mistake! I've been grinding the front sole-plate - the adjustable one, so it's flat and can be coplanar with the main part (miles out as sold - thanks Freud!), this meant a big glass plate (on the floor), and sandpaper stuck to it.

I can now tell you one essential point to remember about The Killing: don't ever look down!

So it's iPlayer later in the week!

E.

You've got to keep on the ball for this one, haven't you? The episodes are available on iPlayer for just a week after the last transmission. So if you join it at Episode 5, for example, you cannot catch up.
I suppose it's a Rights issue, but it's a shame, even so.

The beach scene reminded me of an evening I spent on some godforsaken Danish island. I was with an English bloke who was married to a Danish lady. I was working there and he invited me home for dinner. It was a nice evening, as I recall, but it was a bleak place.

There is an island, off the mainland (obviously, I suppose) where the inhabitants are renowned for never smiling. It was weird. I could not read my client at all. Was I working well? Were they happy? Did they regret dragging me half way across Europe? Very strange. As it turned out, all was well.

Funny lot. And I don't mean just Toksvig.
