It is a superb decorative touch, I wonder whether they were cut in with gouges or files? The mitre plane has the same detail filed in on the dovetails for the sole:

Tim's work is consistently amazing!
Who but Bill would have thought of a detail like that and who but Tim would have been able to apply it so exactly?
 
Without wishing to sound contrary, I am not a fan of the blind cupid's bow dovetail. I certainly appreciate that it takes a lot of skill to make, more than I will ever have, but it just is not pleasing to my eye.

Perhaps this is because gaps feature so much in my own work that I have rather gone off them.

Other than that though stonking work, and Alfie Shine certainly sounds interesting.
