Hello All,

I noticed a photo on another thread (I think it was about table saw rip fences, although I cannot find it now!) of someones table saw with an intergrated router table to the righthandside of the saw blade as you would view if using the saw.

Anyone have any information on how to incorporate the router table - I have a Kity 619 table saw which at present has the original flimsy tin sheet extension table.

Any info, photos etc. much appreicated,

Andy.

Thanks Knapper for the thread link, it looks exactly what I was looking to do.

Can I ask where you got the extension rails from?

Cheers,

Andy

They are cut from a 2m length of 4mm 2" x 1" aluminium angle. I bought it from a metal factors (look on google or eBay). If you already have long rails on your saw, you should be able to use those.

I ve had the router in my set up for years

uses up dead space anyways
I just slide the biesmeyer over and slap a jig to it

Yes I use the Bandsaw Daily ,
it's a 1907 Crescent 36" ,

I build custom guarding for a process if needed.
as with this machine , depending on what cutter head what diameter , what knife
profile , and how far I want to split the tables , or how deep of a draft I'm taking

No guards ,No splitter's/Riv knifes ,Can't use em in this set up
these are Sheet good saws

as a Sole Self Employed Cabinet Maker

I don't have ANY of the restrictions placed on ME as
compared to a shop with Employee's , I'd have to Sue myself

Why can't you use a riving knife and crown guard for sheet materials?

It seems funny to me you are more concerned about not sueing yourself, when it is life and limb which is more important, you work on your own so an accident is the last thing you want, it can happen regardless of how many years of experience you have.

Sorry if I sound like I'm going on a bit, and I appreciate you are allowed to do what you like, but this is a public forum where a lot of inexperienced people come for advice, and repeatadly posting this picture may give a newby an impression this practice is acceptable, it is not.

Have you noticed this thread?

I would encourage everyone to use the Guards that came with their machines
I edited by above post to reflect your concerns

as to my machines

I might if they actually came with any
the age of both those machines are 1907/BS
and 1860/UWW, they didn't think of that back then.

On the table saws

I'd love a disappearing splitter ,but none
of the saws can be retro fitted
the blade covers I can't use
both saws are used at the same time
they back onto each other
one side is Left tilt ,
the other side is Right tilt

I would encourage everyone to use the Guards that came with their machines
