hello everyone,

I have a job that requires sticking various thicknesses of 8'X4' sheets of Birch plywood together, ( as in 24mm+12mm..24mm +15mm..etc ) am I right in thinking it would be a job for a bag press ?
Any thoughts...Ideas would be greatly appreciated

Mick

Hi, I use bagpress for laminating boards up, clamps will work fine too with weight in the board centers. If you have a bag press, use it :). A blanket over the top will help evacuate the air to avoid air pockets too.

Thanks

Alex

you can use contact adhesive too like what you use for lamenent! quick drying and only needs momentary pressure (body weight).

hi thanks for that, for some reason i never thought of the contact adhesive...

Hi,
If you are not too far from south Staffordshire and can supply the birch ply yourself, but require someone with a press send me a PM as I can pass on details for you.
