Has anyone tried these Q s/shaves and compared them with the LN versions?

Well, I've handled but not used the LN ones. I think the crucial difference is the lack of throat adjustment (on the QS one). Shims would do it, but it's not yet been a problem for me (time will tell).

The incidental bit of goodness I like is that the QS one came with a 'pencil box.' It's padded for the handles, and means you can set the shave then put it away without any risk of the setting getting knocked out.

Obviously that's not an issue if you've got a proper tool rack set up, but I've only recently got the garage roof done and the workshop space hasn't been fitted out before now. I'm in the process of getting rid of one old motorbike, then I'll have room for something on the right wall (and tools shouldn't rust any more!).
