Hi all

anyone know where I can find this information ? I need to know the HSE spec ? min/max spacing between the spindles on a childs / babies cot / crib

Thanks

Found this with Google:

* Check your cot bed conforms with the BS EN 716-1 safety code, which ensures the cot is deep enough to prevent your baby from climbing out.
* Ensure the mattress fits the cot bed with no gaps.
* Make sure the bars of the cot bed are no more than 45mm to 65mm apart. To test this take a fizzy drink can with you when shopping, this should not fit through the gaps.

I think the current standard is BS EN 716 2008
Hope that helps,
Simon

Thanks Simon - but it's that ambiguity that can get you in trouble ! I'm sure it has to be one of the other !

I'll do some proper googling when I get a chance, but I just thought I'd check if anyone knew / had already been down this route.

I'm not sure but i would say its a round 45mm, the one i had which just got sold the other week was big enough to get my girls legs and arms though but can't be bigger than 50mm.
