Yet another reason to have them on my list of go to's.

Funny really, I wonder how many businesses can offer mouldy goods for sale and get everyone excited ? :)

Richard

hi all.

Thanks Vic . I have just purchased 10kg.. It says to contact them direct on there shop listing for this so I did... Paul said he has had to put (contact them direct ) because hes getting so many orders in and doesn't want to sell them and not have stock etc...

cant wait to get mine on the lathe :)

Pat

Sorry, Misread the answer to my attempt to order - collapsed lung currently limiting my powers of concentration :)

Fantastic price for what has to be one of my absolute favourite looking woods to use (though I've only ever had pen blanks)

Look forward to getting some if I can.

Nic.

Hi Nic

The service and the cost of their blanks are very good. grab some if you can. They also said they have some spalted silver Birch , never turned that so wasn't sure if to buy some so I didn't this time... I may kick myself if you all say its nice :)

Pat

Haha thought you would say that .
Just called them and got a pack. I will let you know how I get on :)

My timber arrived next day and I have been cutting some up today. It looks to be good quality stuff with a good moisture content. Varying degrees of spalting but even the stuff that's not very spalted has interesting figuring.

Thanks for the recommendation

Richard

Vic

You mentioned the cherry the other day was on eBay and see they are advertising some

Hi Pat, yes I have seen the Cherry on Ebay but that is only 1" thick. They have some 3"- 4" stuff drying, which I fancy getting hold of . Paul at HOW reckons that it would be another 6 months before it has dried out enough.

Cheers

Vic
