Someone's Next bench?

Out shopping today I noticed this underneath a pile of knitwear:

Sadly abused with a belt sander but solid and usable, if it hadn't fallen into the interior designer's hands!
Who else would sooner have one of these than a jumper for Christmas?

I'm really surprised they are still selling winter wear this time of year.

I would have thought it was time to put the beech wear out by now!
