I did a snooker room and a home theatre a few months ago, only just had an opportunity to take pictures as we were waiting for art work etc.

The timber is stained sapele, to give a wenge effect, the top panels are suede leather.

As you can see we panelled all the walls, the windows, all reveals etc, made the av unit and the bar at the end.

Do you think stained sapele wouldwork for lipping panels or is it better to go for the real stuff? I was thinking of Oryx style gloss white MDF with wenge edges

The stained sapele is a theme throughout the house.

After an environmental lecture by Mike G a few months ago we avoid using rare species like wenge
