Small mahogany stool which is a variant on one out of Jack Hill's country chairmaking book. Rough size for a top is between 9 1/4 inches to 10 " sq. Centre of the bore hole is 1 3/4 inches in diagonally and done with a 1" forstner bit. Overall height is about 11". This one was made from ex 2" PAR for the legs. The top is three bits of 3 by 2 Par and one bit of 2 by 1 Par biscuit jointed with Devcon 2 ton Epoxy. An Ashem crafts rounder is used to make the end of the leg 1". Legs are just glued in with white glue or Titebond. Very Solid.

That looks very nice and solid. Gives the impression it could well last through the century.

thanks guys, the top can be turned by picking it up and rotating it the desired number of degrees but being of symmetrical form the end result will be similar to the original appearance.
