They normally do that sort of stuff when they are out of stock and it's easyer to put a stupid price so no one will buy so I have been told cause I complained and that's what the guy said

As with a lot of sellers, when the stock runs out they alter the price to extortionate so nobody buys, then put it back correct when more stock comes in. First set was £39.50 and single is £24.50. Look at the 108 sold and it tells you what they paid.

If you withdraw an item (cos stock is down) and relist later, you have to pay for the listings again. adjusting the price is free. may only be a quid or two but if you have hundreds of listings...

Probably a french seller :)

I was asked by a local hardware store £4.75 and £4.95 respectively for a 3mm and 4mm allen key.
I ended up getting them from axminster for 16p and 36p I think.

Isn't it usually the other way around ?
Man goes into shop and asks how much a tin of XXXX is.
£5 says the shopkeeper.
But it's only £3 down the road.the customer says.
Then buy it down the road.
Cant, they are out of stock.
Ah well, we only charge £3 when we are out of stock as well.
