As at least most people here know, Sketchup is a wonderful package
for designing projects.
Reading some posts recently it's clear that some people can use it very
well whereas others struggle.
For those who are not aware there are some new video tutorials written
especially for woodworkers by Rob Cameron at :-

sketchupforwoodworkers.com

They start from the basics and include things such as mouldings and
various joints.
As a beginner I found the tutorials excellent and easy to understand
and would recommend anybody interested in Sketchup to take a look.

Yeah, thanks for that.

I need all the help I can get

Is the book SU for dummies worth having?

Thanks for posting that Dave.
I'd never managed to get to grips with Sketchup before. Add in the cutlist plugin and it's really useful.

I've never really got on with CAD or Sketchup so this is a really good resource. Many thanks for posting it.

What else is there for a beginner. My Google searches seem to pull up more commercial training courses than anything else.

regards
Alan
