I need a workbench and seen this on ebay. are they any good?

Personally I'd build my own to suit my needs.

I'd be suspicious of the SIP one. At £120 I doubt very much that is is solid oak, that would incur a price probably five times that at least. It's more likely to be MDF or ply with a veneered face.

There's plenty of WIP threads on here for work benches and they don't have to take an age to build.

It as solid oak well sort of, its lots of pieces glued together, if you can’t make your own it would be ok and at that price you could buy two and have a pair if the first one falls apart

If you just type woodwork bench into youtube you will get dozens of good videos of all sorts and costs.

I am probably going to make a version of this one.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTxbcf9zI5o with some more additions ...although I bet it would outlast me anyway.

Then if I get into woodworking and get some level of skill I will make a "proper " bench .
