Hello. I just bought a SIP 01344 and wondered if anyone had recommendations on where to get spares from(consumables or otherwise)?

And has anyone got a pic of their solution for moving one of these types of machines around? I wasn’t expecting it to be as heavy as it was (I had a cheap Screwfix one before and in my head was thinking it’d only be twice as heavy at the most!).

Thanks!

Typing in SIP 01344 knives into google gives results on spare blades.
Not sure there are really any more consumables than that.

I think some people place 2 pieces of 2x4 under the machine/in the thicknesser part. Then a person either side and lift into position. Like how a stretcher works.
Or put on a wheel base if you move it a lot.

Carl Holmgren's mobile base design is the best I've come across.
He has made quite a few on youtube
I made a metal one for my 210kg tablesaw and it lifts it with ease.
If I were to do it again, I would definitely make the inner axle more favoured towards the end, as its a bit annoying turning it around, because the wheels one one axle are too far inward on the base.
Look him up
Good luck with your new machine :D
Tom
