re. tranformer in tstak - seems like a lot of wasted space in the case, could I suggest a couple of battens and a lift out shelf, useful as a cable store

This is my Dust Commander cyclone that I incorporated to fit inside a Systainer 5 when out on site.
As you can see from the pictures, it all packs inside the Systainer for easy storage and transportation.

The foil tape around the inlet and outlet of the cyclone are tomake up the difference in the pipe sizes to fit the Festool couplings.
The tape ensures conductivity of the Anti Static hoses.

Nicely done

Nice chance for me to show mine-

Made these out of ply to hold storage boxes for screws etc (need to make holes in the top to locate the next on the stack)

Cyclone made from ply with 3d printed loc and adapter- although I like distinterior idea with storage!

I like the convenience & ease of locking together of the systainers particularly when taking tools on site. Quite a few of my power tools are old & came in blown moulded cases such as my 18 gauge nailer.

I like the fact that the tool & accessories are held snuggly so decided rather than just put everything loose in a systainer I adapt the plastic case on the bandsaw.

until it fit nicely in a systainer.

I have a wall rack of mini systainers holding small tools, machine accessories etc.
I've heavily modified one of these to serve two purposes:
(Right hand side) A low voltage transformer to power my 24V weller soldering iron and other devices
(Left hand side) A digital temperature controller that can switch upto 2.5kW of heating and uses plug in thermocouples to monitor temperature. The main use of this is as a bearing heater using a simple plug in heater element. Bearings heated to 85-90 degrees C will often just drop onto a shaft and shrink tight as they cool. It could equally well be used to warm / preheat almost anything.
Having an "electric aga" in the workshop takes away the temptation to pop them in the oven and risk falling out with the love of my life :)

Neutrik connectors for mains in and mains out to the bearing heater element.

A proper rats nest inside with wires left loose and overlong plus wago spring clips for convenience to allow me to unclip anything to replace or modify it.

The temperature controller switches power on and off to the heater at a few times each minute so i've used a wear free solid state relay for the heavy lifting. The low power contacts in the temperature controller only switch a few milliamps at 8vDC from the improvised lithium battery pack and this instructs the relay to switch mains at anything upto 40 amps if I'd used thick enough wiring.

Lastly, this toughbox stores a 3kW variac to protect it from dust and damp in my workshop. Neutrik connectors make it easier to use when the variac inside can be preset and left at one voltage for a specific task.

Great job👍 I’ve used Neutrik/Seetroinic connections on all my tools and attached power cord to extractor hose
