Hi
I've started noticing that the rise and fall wheel on my MB is getting very hard to turn, so I'm guessing I need to lubricate the column that supports the thicknesser table. Can anybody advise on what I should use as a lubricant?
thanks, Andy

And make sure the resistance isn't coming from the thickness table height lock or dust / grease in the bevel gears. Everything needs a little TLC once in a while. I'd work it through the range of movement, cleaning off any old grease / sawdust paste first, then apply fresh grease sparingly. Moly should be great. The thing to avoid is ordinary bearing grease that's sticky and soaks up sawdust.
