second go at a egg

Had a free afternoon, after finishing me candlesticks, so thought I'd have a go at turning an egg.
and then stuck a clock face in it.
A bit too pointy, but it killed half an hour ....

That looks nice. How did you cut the recess for the clock? Did you cut the recess before or after turning?

both :? I initially drilled the 35mm hole while it was square stock, then turned and then realised that the face of the clock mech wouldnt sit flush, so when I'd finished put it back under the drill and delicately did a 45?mm hole on top. Didnt quite line up though
