Scroll Saw Newbie Troubleshooting

Hello,

I'm new to scroll sawing and after very excitedly given it a go on my Sealey SM1302 it's stopped working?!? The blade seems to be stuck, it won't move up and down. I tried a different blade, adjusted the head, but no go... Any advice for a rookie?

Hi, welcome to the forum,

May I suggest you post your enquiry in the Scroll Saw section of this forum. I feel you may get a better response to your enquiry from scrollers who may own the saw you describe or have owned the same model previously and may have come across the same problems you are having.

It would also help to get your post count up, ( 5 I think ), before you can post photos which will go a long way to helping to diagnose your problem.

Personally I don't know your machine, sorry, so apart from saying "look for obvious signs of something being jammed up mechanically" I can't help. But as above I suggest you visit the Scroll Saw section and simply post something like QUOTE: Can members please help me as per my post "Scroll Saw Newbie Troubleshooting" in the General Woodworking section. UNQUOTE:

That way you'll be sure to attract the attention of someone there who I'm sure will be pleased to offer advice as quickly as possible.
