Hi my rexon dual sander ie it has a round sanding pad on one end and an upright vertical thin sanding strip that has snapped and needs changing and being very new to this I aint got a clue 1 how to put replacement thin strip on.then 2 how do I change and replace the round sanding disc on the other end cos they are nor attached with velcro etc or a centre screw any help will be great thanks in advance andy..

Hi the round one will be self adhesive so should just pull off ,then clean the remaining residue off and stick the new one back on.You can get a velcro backing to stick on the disc to convert to velcro discs but it makes the disc a bit sponge so just use light pressure.

As Dave mentioned for the round one. You may need to unscrew a guard from the lower half of the disc to get easier access but I'm not familiar with that particular model. It can help to warm the disc and platter gently with a hot air gun or hairdryer first to soften the adhesive, but not essential.

The belt is likely to be tensioned using a lever/cam mechanism on the top or bottom roller if it's similar to other machines. If so, move the lever to take the tension off the belt and then slide it off sideways, slide the new belt on and re-tension with the lever.

Cheers, Paul
