How can I put this tactfully :)

We went away for a few days and the cat decided to relieve itself in a couple of places on our lovely oak flooring...

I guess that the pee contains ammonia - consequently we have a couple of dark stains after the clearup - bit of an eyesore...

Is there any way to gently & chemically remove the stain - or it brute force the answer - obviously I don't want to physically damage the floor (though I might do that to the cat).

Any pointers gratefully received!

Thanks

Scrape or bleach perhaps ? Without knowing the finish its a job to know
