DML 305 is a decent lathe, had one for almost 3 years. Running it without a belt cover (the advertiser says it is lost .... how???) is just plain bonkers what with proximity to stop button etc. If anyone is interested, a cover could be made maybe with ply or even bottom of a 6 pint milk carton. Yes it would be quicket to change belt speed, but also much much quicker to lose bits of your anatomy. (You can get around the tedious uncrewing of the cover fixing (takes ages, lots and lots of turns with a hex key) with a simple over centre hook arrangement instead. But running without cover is a bad idea. My car would go lots faster if I threw away all the safety kit)
