Found this little booklet, 6"x4" and 35 pages of some of the Record Marples planes current in 1984 with exploded diagrams, how to use, general and sharpening advice. In English and French. Never come across this particular publication before.

The delicate cyan hue is something to do with the up/download from Photobucket the pages are actually the normal white and so are my original scans.

Interesting that the grip shown (in 1984) on the knob is the "palm down" style, used on woodies, infills and low knob Stanleys, as opposed the "fist round" style that many people use with the modern high knob.

The Veritas "mushroom" knob shapes also encourage the traditional palm down style
