hi all

just got one, tmorrow im going to give it a fettle, whats the best angle-s for the blade to be ground at and honed,

thankyou

Standard grinding angle is 25º then, hone at 30º. You should be able to hone the blades several times before you need to re-grind the primary bevel again. Always flatten the back of the blade first. :)

Hi Speed,

Traditional is 25 degrees primary and a touch more for the secondary honing bevel. As it's a smoother, you may wish to consider a very slightly curved edge so that you don't leave tram lines in your finished surface.

Cheers,

Matthew
