I've oiled up a Homebase greenhouse for my wife using Tung oil. Unfortunately, a lot of the oil has leaked out over night onto the clear plastic panelling (I think I ODd on the oil). Is there any way to remove this that won't melt the plastic at the same time (of course that depends on the plastic). I've tried white spirit so far but it won't budge.

If all else fails have a look at these people: http://www.cirrus-systems.co.uk/diy

They claim that their paint stripper works without solvents by releasing the paint from the surface it is adhered to and so can be used on plastics.
It could be a bit pricey though unless you have a lot more paint stripping jobs to do.

Fromey - if it's not a daft question, do you need to remove the tung oil? It should not affect the workings of the greenhouse panels, and might be more hassle to remove than it is worth. For instance, how much would a couple of new panels be in comparison to any pricey remover?

Either way, I hope you have better luck growing things this year than I did in the previous two!
