I am unable to get a perfect square between the "face" and" edge" on the stock that I am using to produce the legs of a small coffee table. I am using a Kity Serie 6 1637 planner/thicknesser machine. The fence is definitely set at 90 degrees to the tables, so that is not the issue. I believe the tables ? cutter block ? cutter blades may need realigning or adjusting. How to I level the in feed/ out feed tables or adjust the cutter block/ blades so that the machined surfaces i.e " face" and "edge" are at right angles? This problem has only arisen recently. Can someone, if they do have. e -mail me some instuctions how to go about it or advice on how to rectify my dilemna. Thanks. Neville

If the table and fence are square, then to only way the cut will be out of square is if the knives are not parallel to the table (for whatever reason.

I would check with a dial gauge if the cutter block is parallel to the outfield table, then check the cutters are also parallel.

Are you sure the fence is flat and not twisted? Have you checked at each end of the fence and in the centre.

If the fence slides across, it may be worth face and edging some test pieces at different points.

I dont know how you would know about play in bearings but I guess there would bearing noise if on there way out.
