Problems with my table saw tripping out

I've had an electrician PAT test the saw, and all is well.

He also confirmed the view that 16amp spur with 16 amp mains sockets and plugs could be used instead of the 13amp fused plug.

I fitted everything this evening and ran up the saw, both naked and with the sled in place. After spin up the saw was taking 7.2 amps, 9 amps when cutting 30mm hardwood.

As mentioned by others this business of unrush current is the problem. Had I just bought the saw I'd have undoubtedly sent it back, but it was the best part of a year before I commissioned the shop. My bad.

Now to get on and actually make something with the saw.

Anyone want a monster pack of 50 13amp fuses !
