I was about to order a LN mortice chisel from Axminster last night and clicked on the link here to go to the right sectionon this page which shows them at £37.55. When you then click to order the chisel(s) needed you then are transferred to the main catalogue where a totally different price is shown  - Rob

Blimey!!
I paid the 37.55 inlcuding VAT around the middle of last year.

Classic Hand tools are selling them at £37.55 - be warned, although they are great company with nice guys running it, I have found Classic's delivery to be very unreliable and out of the few deliveries I have recieved from them, I waited 2 weeks for one, 1 month for another and 3 months for a third.

Bessey Clamp Loss Recovery

You could get some old pigstickers for less than that but if you want LN   .

That does not look right as the first page does not say plus vat :-k

I guess that they can make mistakes either way but unlike the K-body's this type of mistake can cost us extra.
As far as I can see it is just the mortise chisels that are the wrong price because if you look here http://www.lie-nielsen.co.uk/saw_crosscut.html and then here http://www.axminster.co.uk/product.asp? ... lienielsen or here http://www.lie-nielsen.co.uk/smoothing_no4.html then here http://www.axminster.co.uk/product.asp? ... lienielsen you will find that they are the same price.

Sadly it is now going to take me twice as long to shop on their site because I bet I cannot stop myself double checking to see if I am not paying to much.

Give them a bell Rob, I am sure that they will correct it.

HTH

Cheers

Mike

Have you considered an alternative? I have a couple of the axminster japanese mortice chisels 12mm and 6mm and they are quite superb.
