I like the Andy's Workshop sign - a bit more refined than the sign I've been given for mine.
It was a 60th birthday pressie from my wife last year. I call my shed a shed, I don't have enough experience or knowledge to be able to call it a workshop 🙂

I'm really liking those Shrooms Stig, very organic looking. (y)

I haven't turned anything in the last few days, but something 'turned' up this afternoon. Just wanted to share the news as I'm a bit excited. :censored:

I'm sooooo jealous 😍 that's possibly the one I will go for once I can save enough for it.

So last night I received delivery of some much awaited CA glue so I gave a punky oak bowl a good soaking and today spend 2.5 hours 🤪 hand sanding from 120 through to 400 as sanding while spinning would likely have broken fingers or the bowl, ga e it a wax finish and then buffed it in by hand also.

Once that was finished I rummaged through my Shroom wood pile and found a few pieces big enough for my chuck, I'm surprised nobody has had a guess at what the wood is.

How do I get the picture smaller?
Once you've added it, left mouse click on it - that will show [handles] at each corner, grab one and drag it to a smaller size. You can also select to have it 'Left', 'Right' or 'Centre' by slecting the [Alignment] Icon - (the first in the list).

I suspect that you can also do this 'after the event' by [Editing] your post.

So today I knocked out a few more Shrooms from Ivy and then came back to work to discover that tomorrow's summer fair has been cancelled due to the weather ☹ which leaves me out of pocket for the cost of my pitch and my days liability insurance.
I included a ruler so you can see how small and cute they are

Thanks very much
You're welcome - and thanks to you for not only asking 'HOW' but actually bothering to take notice!

By selecting 'left' and then 'right' alignment, you can get two images side by side which is a great benefit overall to the forum.

I christened the lathe today and made a smallish bowl from a piece of wood that I was given yesterday. I was chatting to a chap on my rounds and the subject of woodturning cropped up (how did that happen), minutes later we were in his firewood store and I had a couple of logs to take home. I think it's Ash (?) .... actually I didn't have a clue, but my brother suggested Ash. ;)

I must admit that I'm having trouble when it comes to sanding the inside of my bowls, more often than not I have to spend ages trying to removes scratches and sometimes end grain tearout too. I'm doing it by hand, using 80 grit up to 600. Should I be looking to get a bowl sander, or maybe a 2" drill attachment?
