Can anyone tell me where the best site is to buy poplar for kitchen cabinets. I need rails/styles etc in 12mm and using mrmdf for field panel/backing

12 mm? Ain't that way too thin..

I think your going to plant it onto mdf to give the impression of a panelled door? Just use mdf. If you put timber onto mdf, the timber will shrink/move and the paint will crack. Tge edge of the door will always have a line where the two meet.
