whats it like for turning? just been offered a load for £20.

is it the same as other fruit trees? prone to splitting?

any advice welcome.

Yes, like most fruit woods can be a challenge to dry but usually gives a wealth of colour ways to add interest to turnings.
As far as I'm concerned, 'never to be refused'
