Pepper mills

I am going to make a salt and pepper set(8”)
I have some Utile or Iroko the right size.
Will either of these be suitable or should I use something else?

I think either would be ok to use for your mills, just be careful with the dust from Iroko as it can be an irritant .

I have a 50 litre extraction unit so will be careful.

Ideal . We used to call iroko pepper wood as it was'orrible to cut as it got up ypor nose!

Just use decent PPE

Beech will do nicely if you have some and will be lighter in colour than the 2 woods mentioned
