Old stanley sweetheart brand

Can anybody shed some light on the stanley sweetheart tools that were manufactured way back. Not the new lot that they have recently resurrected.
I've come across them occasionally in my quest to get a half decent hand tool set up but have no idea of their quality. Were they any better than the normal stanley stuff? Are they worth paying a bit of a premium for?

They've got a catchy name, and are from Stanley's golden era, but the price premium demanded normally out weighs the quality benefit.
