As regards epoxy I believe surgical spirit / meths works pretty well but does it reduce it's strength?
As for Pu glues I'm not sure what would thin it.
Do all Pu glues foam and fill? If so I need to use epoxy.
I'm restoring an old percussion rifle muzzle gun stock which has had a worm attack (now treated) but also want to put some strength back into the stock. To achieve this I need something thinned enough to inject with a syringe to fill the galleries rather than just plugging the holes. It need strength putting back so as when it's used on the range (I have black powder, & shotgun licences & a FAC ) it will withstand the shock rather than possibly developing cracks.
PS if anyone reading this has any old muzzle loaders hiding at the back of the shed, even parts, any condition, PM me if you want to convert such to cash.
