Does anyone have any ingenious uses for old band-saw blades? I have accumulated several blunt blades( I chuck nothing) and feel they must have a use.

They make good cutting gauge blades if they are of sufficient width after the teeth are removed.

Cheers...bosshogg :)
I never teach my pupils. I only attempt to provide the conditions in which they can learn.

My saw doctor resharpens them.....
Mine does too. Only if they are in good nick. Including hardpoint. They don't always cut as straight as new ones but they certainly are very sharp, and it saves a bit of cash.

Somewhere I've seen a suggestion that you cut the blade into about 4" lengths, then clamp all the pieces side by side to make an aggressive sort of rasp. But never tried it.
