Hi all just got a little job to repair some oak chairs. I have replaced a few spindles but I am a bit stuck with the ladder back rails which are curved. I do not have a bandsaw I was thinking about steam bending some. Would this be possible? The rails are around 5 mm thick and about 90 mm deep at its highest point. If this would be possible would anybody be able to supply a couple of bits of straight grained oak 450 long 90 high 5mm thick. If there is anybody who could do this please drop me a line with price for timber and postage.
Thanks in advance Phil.
