My NVR switch on my router table has suddenly decided to fail to remain in the ‘on’ position.

If I press on the switch, power gets to the router. As soon as I release the pressure, the router grinds to a halt.

Can anyone please help with a remedy? Is it likely to do with dust entering the switch?

Either dust or open circuit coil.

Both common problems. Before pulling the wires off, make sure you note where they go first!!!

When you say 'open circuit coil', can it be fixed?

Does it mean there is a wire disconnected some where, and ail it be obvious?

Usually it is a write off if the coil has failed. The wire is very fine indeed and could have failed anywhere in 1000s of turns.
