Thanks guys, I should be good at these now as I have made so many. Well Benchways the finish is just some cuprinol wood preserver that I lashed on. I had a lot left after building my workshop and it seems to be a bottomless can. I do have another gate to build again as my next project but this one is a six footer, word of mouth is a wonderful thing. :wink:

Aye Alan,

I have a stack of 2" boards of Western Red Cedar to use, so maybe it's time I did what I keep promising SWIMBO ( She who indeed must be obeyed). I.e, the two remaining gates. :lol:

And I hope you lashed some of that cuprinol over the tongues, before you assembled the tongue and groove! :wink:
