I've recently taken up woodwork again, and this is the first thing I made. I'm a beginner with a router, and there's a learning curve!

You should be well pleased with yourself. You've selected a beautiful piece of oak and used in such a fashion as to show it to best advantage. You've run the moulding neatly around the corners with no scorching or tear out, you've accurately laid out the recesses and cut them cleanly, evenly, and precisely.

There's a hundred mistakes waiting even in a simple project like that, but you've navigated your way around all of them...so well done!
