Newbie question on edgebanding

Hi guys,

I have a question and I know I will get a mixed debate , but that's cool, that's what I need!

I'm about to buy an edge bander, the question is do I go for hot melt glue or pre glued tape?

I'm thinking that the festool portable edgebander could be good as it does shapes etc.....

But then I look at the pre glued stand alone machines that have laminate trimmers built in and think that could be great,

We make camper van cabinets, and until now have used knock in edging - but wish to stand out from that day look.

We have a cnc router for all our cabs, just need a better finish !

Hot melt if funds will allow
I would not however buy the festool as I think its overpriced
