I looked for my previous post from when I ordered it but couldn't find it. Anyway here she is, all ready for racking and loading. Lot's of goodies. Air con, and Blue Tooth. Once synced (which took a couple of minutes), it plays all the music on my phone and works the phone hands free. Not got as far as voice control yet.

Lovin' it.

Peugeot for sale.

does the peugeot came with keys? :)
Nice looking van though

You need to seriously consider fitting a tracker, my son-in-law had his transit stolen, he was told they're easy pickings for thieving scum!
Nice van too.

Agreed. I know five different people who've had Mk8's taken with very little resistance from the van.... Says a lot about Ford security, but then they've never been a market leader on that front.

was just a call back to the thread about the expense of keys for vans and how it would be cheaper to buy a new van than a new key

What are they like on fuel? always wanted to convert one into a small dayvan/camper for photography trips etc also the big question...... can you get automatic ones? (I only have an automatic licence due to health probs)

No idea about auto, I imagine you'd have to wait. I've given it a couple of good runs now and am happy with the fuel consumption. It has six gears so as long as you're ok with lots of changes it's easy to keep the revs low and consumption down. The computer tells me that it's done 28mpg on average since it arrived. How accurate that is I don't know.

Superb to drive, very quiet and smooth. Cruise control as standard which I didn't know about. Voice control of the phone which works well, but it's too much messing around for the music, may as well do it manually.

One thing I'm not certain about is the fuel filler. It has no cap, and has a little trap door that opens when you push a nozzle in. It will only accept a diesel nozzle so no chance of miss-fuelling. However, it seems hard to fill without causing some to dribble down the side when taking it out. The filler is locked by the outer flap, which is trapped in the closed position by the passenger door. This means that you have to open the passenger door to open the flap.

You're not the only one to tell me this. A mate who works for a company with a fleet of them says they get broken into if they don't fit quality locking.

Mine went in on Thursday, £600 for dead locks all round. Might be expensive but gives me peace of mind.
