HI Folks
Came across this new router jig ....

www.ultracut.co.uk

Anyone seen one or heard of it? Sounds pretty interesting, in a Woodrat kind of way. Somewhat pricey though, especially when you add in the optional extras....

Cheers

It costs enough without the extras. £1200 for the basic and £1500 with a stand.

Looks good though.

Look interesting, not cheap tho. I like the fact it's build up of extrusions. Should make it fully upgradable and jiggable. They need to work on their promotional stuff tho. It's hard to see how it actually works.

If you watch the promotional video, at 1:59 it's being used in a school with no safety glasses, dust mask or ear defenders. :?

that idea is worth about a 0.02 out of 10 for innovation, it's a load of machine building components joined together, no wonder it's so expensive, that stuff costs a bomb. You could make the same thing for about £500 yourself from RS or get a CNC router where someone has done the hard bit first, the woodrat isn't ideal but at least they make an effort!
